Awesome quotes collected from everywhere!
Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow
Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming?;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?
The road's goal is the Origin of Being
But be wary through what thickets it winds.
It takes a bastard to recognize a bastard
Courage is not the absence of fear
Luck is the dividend of sweat
To learn how to succeed you must first learn how to fail
Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils
We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly
Should guilty seek asylum here,
Like one pardoned, he becomes free from sin.
Should a sinner make his way to this mansion,
All his past sins are to be washed away.
The sight of this mansion creates sorrowing sighs;
And the sun and the moon shed tears from their eyes.
In this world this edifice has been made;
To display thereby the creator's glory.
I give up. I can't rebel against the truth any more. I lie prostrate before you all. Feed off of my disappointment until I am a soulless shell of a man and throw my anemic body into the gaping snot maw of the Gabe. If there is any residue left of my existence, smear it over the breakfast of Doug Lombardi, he'll have a taste of my final suffering if it's the last thing you all do.
Coincidentally "coincidence" is the word used by people who choose to ignore subsequent events or variables that seem to follow a specific path
Einstein was right, time is relative to the observer. When you're looking down the barrel of a gun, time slows down. Your whole life flashes by, heartbreak and scars. Stay with it, and you can live a lifetime in that split second.
Title: What should I do to marry a rich guy?
I'm going to be honest of what I'm going to say here. I'm 25 this
year. I'm very pretty, have style and
good taste. I wish to marry a guy with $500k annual salary or above.
You might say that I'm greedy, but an annual salary of $1M is
considered only as middle class in New York . My requirement is not
high. Is there anyone in this forum who has an income of $500k annual
salary? Are you all married? I wanted to ask: what should I do to
marry rich persons like you? Among those I've dated, the richest is
$250k annual income, and it seems that this is my upper limit. If
someone is going to move into high cost residential area on the west
of New York City Garden ( ? ) , $250k annual income is not enough.
I'm here humbly to ask a few questions:
1) Where do most rich bachelors hang out? (Please list down the names
and addresses of bars, restaurant, gym)
2) Which age group should I target?
3) Why most wives of the riches is only average-looking? I've met a
few girls who doesn't have looks and are not interesting, but they are
able to marry rich guys
4) How do you decide who can be your wife, and who can only be your
girlfriend? (my target now is to get married)

Awesome reply:
Dear Ms. Pretty,
I have read your post with great interest. Guess there are lots of
girls out there who have similar questions like yours. Please allow me
to analyse your situation as a professional investor. My annual income
is more than $500k, which meets your requirement, so I hope everyone
believes that I'm not wasting time here. From the standpoint of a
business person, it is a bad decision to marry you.. The answer is
very simple, so let me explain.
Put the details aside, what you're trying to do is an exchange of
'beauty' and 'money': Person A provides beauty, and Person B pays for
it, fair and square. However, there's a deadly problem here, your
beauty will fade, but my money will not be gone without any good
reason. The fact is, my income might increase from year to year, but
you can't be prettier year after year. Hence from the viewpoint of
economics, I am an appreciation asset, and you are a depreciation
asset. It's not just normal depreciation, but exponential
depreciation. If that is your only asset, your value will be much
worried 10 years later.
By the terms we use in Wall Street, every trading has a position,
dating with you is also a 'trading position'. If the trade value
dropped we will sell it and it is not a good idea to keep it for long
term - same goes with the marriage that you wanted. It might be cruel
to say this, but in order to make a wiser decision any assets with
great depreciation value will be sold or 'leased'. Anyone with over
$500k annual income is not a fool; we would only date you, but will
not marry you. I would advice that you forget looking for any clues to
marry a rich guy. And by the way, you could make yourself to become a
rich person with $500k annual income. This has better chance than
finding a rich fool..
Hope this reply helps. If you are interested in 'leasing' services, do
contact me....

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
-Robert Frost-
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realise it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise , fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.
-Mother Teresa-
Over hill, over dale,
Thorough bush, thorough brier,
Over park, over pale,
Thorough flood, thorough fire!
I do wander everywhere,
Swifter than the moon's sphere;
And I serve the Fairy Queen,
To dew her orbs upon the green;
The cowslips tall her pensioners be;
In their gold coats spots you see;
Those be rubies, fairy favours;
In those freckles live their savours;
I must go seek some dewdrops here,
And hang a pearl in every cowslip's ear.
Mass Effect 3 - Thane's Prayer
Kalahira, mistress of inscrutable depths, I ask forgiveness.
Kalahira, whose waves wear down stone and sand.
Kalahira, wash the sins from this one, and set him on the distant shore of the infinite spirit.
Kalahira, this one's heart is pure, but beset by wickedness and contention.
Guide this one to where the traveler never tires, the lover never leaves, the hungry never starve.
Guide this one, Kalahira, and he will be a companion to you as he was to me.
Lord of the Rings - Bilbo's Poem about Aragorn
All that is gold does not glitter.
Not all those who wander are lost.
The old that is strong does not wither.
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken.
A light from the shadow shall spring.
Renewed shall be Blade that was Broken.
The crownless again shall be King.
A Eruchin, u-dano-i faelas a hyn an uben tanatha le faelas (O Children of Eru, show them no mercy, for you shall receive none)
